Rate the web yourself. It's democracy in action!
Vava Vu is short for Vava Voom: That quality that you can not describe, but you know it when you see it. When you go to a site that has Vava Vu, you like it, you want to bookmark it (go ahead, it's OK), and you want to come and visit it again.
When you rate the web sites associated with any tag, you tell us that one of them has more of a quality (We call them 'Tags') than the other site. We accumulate these votes and use them to rank each site on any of these qualities. Very soon, the best will come up to the top.
Because you are the ultimate judge of what you want and what you like. We show you a few sites that we select for you to judge, and you tell us what you think. You, along with thousands of other users, generate an iron clad, accurate list of what really is happening out there on the web.
Easy: Enter it on our Suggest a Site page, if it is in our database, we will show you the current vava.vu score.
We select two sites where at least one of them has a vava.vu rating that is less accurate: it may not have received enough votes. When you make your vote, the accuracy of our rating improves. This way we both win, we get a more accurate picture of what really is important to you, and you get a varied, more interesting, web experience.
Yes, it is true. Vava vu is fun. You never really know what site you will go to next, except that it is a tag area of your choice. You will go to new sites that could be fun, could be boring: you tell us what you like and what you do not like. Vava Vu can actually bring back the fun of web surfing!
Well, It's like this: I have a web site on relationships and romance. I wanted to compare the other sites to mine to see what was better and how I could improve my own site. I thought if I could rate each site, side by side, I might be able to come up with a top ten list to put up on my site.
But then I thought: maybe everybody could rate sites in their own areas of interest. That way, the list of the top ten would be the ones that really count! And so, the idea of vava.vu was born.
There are several levels:
Currently we do not have a cost for each membership level, and we allow a member to change to the level of their choice. We do ask for a paypal donation and that is strictly on the honor system.
Vava vu has been created in August of 2008, and is currently under daily development. Features may change. Be warned. We will keep our membership notified of any problems, improvements or other happenings as we work on the site. Our database of sites and tags is growing daily, and we need more accurate scores for our Vava Vu ratings. Help us out by rating sites, and please, don't forget the donation, OK?
